An article about my experiences as a pledge to the Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority appeared in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue of the sorority's newsletter Perspectives. I pledged the Beta Sigma chapter at Western Kentucky University in the spring of 1969—40 years ago! • On February 8, 2003, I spoke at the Twelfth Annual Authors' Brunch sponsored by the American Association of University Women, Berea Branch.
• In July 2001, Renee Ryan and I presented a workshop at the RWA convention in New Orleans about the "Three P's of Success."
