Caroline, I was shocked to hear my parents drank WINE on a cruise. I never saw them drink as a child, but then again, there were a lot of things my parents kept from their only daughter!

I, too, was raised in a non-drinking family. My folks weren’t against drinking–just against buying. LOL Occasionally my dad would receive a bottle of whiskey at Christmas from someone with whom he did business. The contents lasted all year and then some. Loved your story in LCB!
