I’m more of a wine drinker, not much on cocktails. Let’s face it, I was raised in a non-drinking family. So, when the Last Chance Beach: Summer’s End box set authors were asked to come up with an original cocktail for our FREE promo ebook, I panicked. Enter my trusty editor, Karen Block. She told me her favorite summer drink. Didn’t sound too hard until I tried to collect all the ingredients. I even had to order the cute little umbrella from Amazon. Any one need 140 paper umbrellas on toothpicks?
I made up the drink in the new glass I bought. Bill carried it out to the patio, took the photo, then went to his computer and worked his computer magic. I took a sip of the drink. It was good. But Bill was happy to finish it off for me, and when I say happy, I mean happy. Thanks to Karen for the recipe. Go grab your FREE copy. You might find a drink or two to make you happy.

YUM, Jan! Cute story. 😀 Cheers to Cocktails on Last Chance Beach!
Good story and wonderful-looking drink!
Love the look of that drink. I’ll be making the concoction. Delish!
This drink is just too cute! And the umbrella is a very nice touch. Well done, Jan! (And Bill!)
Is it the cup that makes that drink look irresistible? Wow! Your story is the same. Worked your magic there.
That drink looks yummy. I, too, was raised in a non-drinking family. My folks weren’t against drinking–just against buying. LOL Occasionally my dad would receive a bottle of whiskey at Christmas from someone with whom he did business. The contents lasted all year and then some. Loved your story in LCB!
Caroline, I was shocked to hear my parents drank WINE on a cruise. I never saw them drink as a child, but then again, there were a lot of things my parents kept from their only daughter!
