Hallmark movies are popular year-round for certain people. (Some people can’t stand them, of course.) I know a certain husband who watches them because he says he doesn’t have to think. They always have a happily-ever-after (HEA) ending, you know.

Once he asked, “what happens after the ending?” The ending is where hero and heroine kiss, and the assumption is that they will live happily from then on. Of course, my writer’s mind got to thinking. What did happen after the final kiss?

That’s when I got the idea for Santa’s Wish Fulfilled, my 2022 Christmas book. A year after they move in together, Roz has second thoughts. The second half of the book describes her journey to the happy ending with the hero Cooper.

One of the characters who caused problems for Roz was Joni. She loved Cooper too. Of course, poor Joni needed her own Christmas story and her own happy ending. Christmas at North Hill was personal for me. I added a bit of personal information, the reason I kept my husband of almost 24 years waiting 5 years before marrying him.

These two books were part of a multi-author series all set in a fictitious town of Dickens, somewhere in New England. This year there are 24 books in the series.

The holiday season is in full swing in the quaint New England town of Dickens.

We have all sorts of fun holiday activities to share such as a Christmas tree lighting in the town square, ice skating on Grosvenor’s Pond, sleigh rides, cutting down your own Christmas tree at Gridley Meadows, caroling on the Common. You can learn to fry latkes at Etz Chaim, or find your perfect dreidel, and anything else you might need for the holiday, at Trim-A-Tree.

You name it—Dickens has it all!

Join us as our best selling and award-winning authors fill your holiday stocking with new novels ranging from sweet to sassy.

I like to think my Christmas books have a bit more to them than just boy meets girl. Maybe Santa’s Kiss not so much, but with A Groovy Christmas I revisit 1968 and 1969, years when young women burn bras and men burn draft cards. These eBooks are only 99 cents. You can also find these books in a box set called Coming Home.

Now is your chance to find Santa’s Wish Fulfilled and Christmas at North Hill discounted 50% at @Smashwords as part of their 2023 End of Year Sale!
Several years ago, my husband got hooked on Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. “Why am I watching these?” he asked.

“Because we’re tired of bad news,” I said. “And we want something less negative, more optimistic.”

Romance writers like to provide that touch of optimism this time of year and give you Christmas romance novels to read.

I wrote my newest Christmas novella last year during the pandemic lockdown and while I took chemotherapy. A BookBub reviewer said this about SANTA’S WISH: Sweet Christmas magic and second chances abound in this adorable romance story. Just what you need to curl up to on a cold winter day…or any other day!

I have two (actually three) other Christmas stories. The older series is about a family named Winchester who live in a small town called Legend. These older books are a bit steamier than my most current story.

The first book contains two novellas that are set in 1968 and 1969. To some people those dates are history. Some of us remember that time. LOL! The main characters are the parents of the main characters in later books in the series.

So, dear readers, if you are looking for a touch of optimism and good cheer, please consider my Christmas offerings.

Santa’s Wish

Will Christmas magic help them overcome Roz’s career ambitions and Cooper’s grief, and bring them together for a second chance at love?

A Groovy Christmas revisits 1968 and 1969 in two novellas.

1968 – In a year where women are burning bras and men are burning draft cards, strait-laced Kathleen wants to do something about being a virgin before it’s too late.

1969 – Avoiding home at Christmas, is high on Frank’s priority list until he meets his mother’s houseguest, a girl with a past…and maybe Frank’s future.

Santa’s Kiss

Actress Dawn needs someone to turn to when her world crumbles, but she’s avoiding her family. When her high school boyfriend Clint shows up on her doorstep in a snowstorm dressed as Santa, she welcomes him. Will their night of lovemaking bring Dawn more heartache or can Clint convince the lonely actress that it’s time for her to come home for good?
