Back in the day, I sold my first book to Kensington for their Precious Gems line. It was a book I’d worked on for a few years, revised, cut out 30,000 words, and submitted. After that sale, I wrote another book, hoping to sell it to Precious Gems. I did!
The Kensington editor named it Best Intentions. It was a good choice for a title. My hero had the heroine’s best intentions at heart.
Revised and re-edited, this second book is now called Kentucky Groom. It fits perfectly in my Bluegrass Reunion Series where the heroines are single moms getting back together with a former “significant other.” The books are set in Kentucky, and I add a horse or two into the plot where I can. Thus, you see why I call the series “Bluegrass Reunion.”
In 2018, I got the rights back for the eight books in the Bluegrass Reunion Series. This year I’ve rebranded the whole series with great looking covers. I combined two novellas into one book (Kentucky Bride / Kentucky Heat). I’ve revised each book and my editor has gone over them again. The books are better now after the clean-up. Let’s face it, I write better than I did back in the day.
I’ve released five books in the series this year. Two books remain. Look for them in 2019.
